23rd December

Well here we are - it is 0630 on December the 23rd and Clara and I are sitting in the freezing office while it it pitch black outside. We cannot believe that we have just slept the last night in our own beds until April!
Upstairs sleeping are the Anderson family as well as Clara's Godfather Adam and his girls; along of course with Amy, Grace and Charlie.
Half a day of school and then off we go! Gorgeous Carol service last night with Amy and Clara playing their violins and all three of them singing - very Christmassy.
Brixton for Christmas with Rory, Boo and boys and then Singapore on the 28th - Euan and Genna's birthday - Happy Birthday you two.
Bye for now.

Snowy Early December

This is my first attempt at blogging, so you will have to bear with me! Clara will be updating this mainly when we are away. This blog is to keep record of and to share the term out we are taking as a family from the end of this month until April next year.
At the moment, my main feeling is of complete terror. Whenever we meet friends, they ask if we are excited etc and of course I smile and nod my head, but all I am really seeing is this huge mountain of stuff that has to be done before we leave.
I know of course that all will be well, but I also know that I will not begin to feel truly excited until we are on the sleeper down to London on the 23rd!
Thank goodness we are not trying to leave the house - our friend Alicia is moving in with her three boys and so we know that the house and dogs and chickens will be looked after.
Christmas Direct is still busy busy, but I am determined to make a first stab at packing this weekend - thankfully Mum came over a few weeks ago and helped to whittle down the girls piles of clothes! 'Grace if you have to lie down AND breathe in to do the zip up, then those shorts are not going with you'.
Some of our itinerary is fixed - a lot of it is not - I will update you (or rather Clara will) in the next post.
bye for now.
